Leila Hanafi, a native of Morocco, and international lawyer with the World Justice Project was recently interviewed on the Voice of America where she discussed the democratic movement in Morocco.

Prior to the Leila’s role at the World Justice Project, she held numerous positions at the World Bank where, as one of the Bank’s youngest professionals, she worked on operations, finance, poverty reduction, and legal reform. Leila was the winner of the highly competitive World Bank Middle East and North Africa Innovation Fund Prize, through which she led a legal empowerment initiative for young Moroccan women. Leila serves on the Board of several organizations in the field of international law and development, including the United Nations Association YPIC, the Moroccan-American Legal Empowerment Network, and the Moroccan Center of International Mediation and Arbitration.
